Call For Papers

GSADI is pleased to announce the III Conference on Analytical Sociology and Social Mechanisms, to be held at the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona on 7-8 June 2010. We welcome paper proposals on any of the following topics:

Epistemic and methodological foundations of analytical sociology.

The identity of analytical sociology.

The concept of social mechanism.

Analytical social ontology.

Analytical revisions of sociological theory.

Unification and interdisciplinary research in social and behavioural sciences.

Particular research applications of the social mechanisms approach.

The micro-macro link, social structure, and analytical sociology.

Action theory.

DBO theory.

Signalling theory.

Rational choice and game theory.

Collective action.

Evolutionary theory.

Social norms.

Experimental sociology.

Agent based models.

Social networks.

Analytical narratives.

Institutional design, public policy, and analytical sociology.

Please send abstracts of no more than 200 words to gsadi@uab.cat before 15 March 2010. Please include complete name, institutional affiliation, and e-mail address.
