BSA Annual Conference: Call for Papers
The British Sociological Association invites submissions to its 2010 Annual Conference. The 2010 Annual Conference follows the successful new format introduced in 2009. Participants can present on topics they wish within broad streams (and open streams) that reflect the core research areas of the membership:
Crime and Control
Culture and Consumption
Education
Families, Relationships, Lifecourse
Media
Medicine, Health and Illness
Methodological Innovations
Professional Forum
Religion
Science and Technology Studies
Social Divisions/Social Identities
Space, Mobility and Place
Theory
Work, Economy and Society
Open Stream(s)
All BSA study groups are strongly encouraged to contribute posters/papers and other activities addressed to these streams. There will also be opportunities
for study groups to meet independently.
The Keynote Plenaries and Sub-Plenaries will address the Conference theme:
Inequalities and Social Justice.

Abstract submission for the BSA Annual Conference is now open. Please review the Abstract Submission Guidelines before completing an Abstract Submission
Form.

Please email your completed Abstract Submission Form to the BSA Office by Friday, 25 September 2009. Submissions received after this date will not be
considered.

Important Dates:
* Friday, 25 September 2009: Abstract Submission closes.
* Friday, 2 October 2009: If you have not received an email.
confirmation of receipt of your abstract, please contact the BSA.
* Monday, 2 November 2009: BSA will send email acceptance/rejection as soon as possible after this date.
* Monday, 16 November 2009: If you have not received postal confirmation by this date, contact the BSA.
* Friday, 15 January 2010: Last date for presenters to register.
* Wednesday, 7-9 April 2010: BSA Annual Conference 2010 takes place at Glasgow Caledonian University.
